Support Bushy Run Battlefield

Volunteers for the 250th anniversary

Help us in preserving Bushy Run Battlefield

In 2009, state budget cuts jeopardized the future of Bushy Run Battlefield.  Fortunately, the members of the Bushy Run Battlefield Heritage Society (BRBHS) and the community stepped up and negotiated a management agreement with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) to jointly administer the site.  The volunteers of BRBHS operate the Visitor Center and hold fundraising events at the battlefield while the PHMC provides maintenance staff to maintain the grounds.  Through the generosity of our donors, we continue to thrive and proudly unveiled a new monument during the 250th Anniversary of the battlefield in 2013.  This $250,000 project was fully funded by the BRBHS and major donors.  It’s the first monument to be placed at the battlefield in 100 years.  You can help us continue to look forward to the next 100 years by donating today!

The future of Bushy Run Battlefield will always be in jeopardy.   PHMC funding for the site continues to be severely cut.  BRBHS, the PHMC’s long-time partner at the site, continues our capital campaign to raise money for the Save Bushy Run Battlefield Endowment. This endowment will assure the future of this site which is listed on the National Historic Register and is the only recognized Native American Battlefield in Pennsylvania. Make a Donation Today!
