Charter Day

CHARTER DAY

Sunday, March 8

Noon – 4:00 p.m.

Celebrate Pennsylvania’s Birthday with Free Admission to Bushy Run Battlefield.

Join the Bushy Run Battlefield Heritage Society in celebrating the Commonwealth’s 339th Birthday at our 3rd Annual Charter Day Celebration! Pennsylvania was created when England’s King Charles II granted a charter to William Penn in 1681. Once each year the Pennsylvania State Archives exhibits the original document. To help celebrate, Bushy Run and other state-owned historical sites offer FREE admission to all visitors.

Tour Guides will be on hand to help guide visitors around the battlefield from Noon until 3:00 p.m., and the museum and park will be open until 5:00 p.m. The event will feature free guided tours of the museum and battlefield, reenactor demonstrations, a basket raffle, vendor booths, and more!

Stay tuned for our list of participating vendors!
