Description

Saturday, February 21 at 1:00pm at Bushy Run Battlefield.

Victor Dillon, Bushy Run volunteer and Continuing Ed. lecturer in various film genres at WCCC,
will present, “Hollywood and Pontiac’s War – the Good, Bad and the Ugly!”
There have been several films throughout the years that have portrayed that era in history
known as ‘Pontiac’s War’ – 1763 to 1764, all with ‘questionable’ accuracy – it is Hollywood after
all!

Join us for a fun and lighthearted look at how Hollywood has portrayed Pontiac’s War and the
Battle of Bushy Run through the years. With plenty of discussion, film clips and background
information.

We will examine the following films:
• Unconquered (1947)
• Battles of Chief Pontiac (1952)
• A Light in the Forest (Disney TV 1958)
• Love, Courage and the Battle of Bushy Run (2024)
Prior viewing is not necessary, and we will even provide the popcorn, but you’ll need to bring
your own candy!
