Summer Camp

In accordance with the guidelines and restrictions of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC), this event has been cancelled this year and will commence again in 2022. Stay tuned for information on alternative, virtual programming scheduled to take place during our 2021 season!



Recommended time spent on activities per day: 2-3 hours

Join us and discover Native American life as it was in the 1760’s! Take a trip into the past as you engage in activities of Native Americans while learning the history behind the Battle of Bushy Run.

Activities Include:

  • Creating a camp T-shirt
  • Making Native Arts and Crafts
  • Learning to shoot a bow and arrow
  • Building an American Indian village replica
  • Learning about the Three Sisters
  • Viewing art and artifacts from the Bushy Run collection

Families will be required to pick up their material packet at the Bushy Run Battlefield pavilion on Sunday, August 2 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. All additional information will be sent to families upon registering for the camp.

***The dates (August 3-7) and the corresponding estimated time to spend completing the activities on each day are recommendations only. Participants will be able to complete the activities and participate in the camp on their own time and in whatever way works best for their schedules. Registrants will be given access to each day’s activities simultaneously so that they can participate and enjoy everything at their own pace.***
