A particular history of the Five Years French and Indian War in New England and parts Adjacent. Sometimes called Governor Shirley's War. This was the fourth of the five Indian wars which began in 1688 and extended down to the fall of Quebec. It was fought all along the English frontier but especially in New England. This volume covers the major events and also details the numerous minor skirmishes in which at least 1,000 were killed or carried into captivity.
